The Top 25 Fastest-Growing Jobs to Consider in 2022

Lindsay Mott  |  January 18, 2022

Looking for a job change or just starting into the career field, here are the fastest-growing jobs for this year.

LinkedIn’s 2022 Jobs on the Rise report came out today, which takes a look at the 25 fastest-growing job titles over the course of the past five years. Overall takeaways from the report are: Jobs in the health care sector continue to see major growth, and there are actually some jobs on the list that didn’t even exist before the pandemic. The list also shows that remote work is here to stay, as many of these emerging jobs are able to be done remotely.

“In fact, half of the top 10 jobs on the rise in the U.S. have more than 30% remote work availability, with roles like Business System Administrator (#9) offering 45% remote work availability,” says Andrew Seaman, senior editor for Job Search & Careers at LinkedIn News.

If you’re just starting out or looking for a career change, first of all, know that you aren’t alone. A recent survey by LinkedIn shows that 62% of Americans are considering a job change in 2022. Right now, there’s so much opportunity for those early in their careers, late in their careers, or those who may be switching fields entirely.  There are also opportunities for individuals looking to ensure they’re put in a position where they’re able to prioritize others — no nursing knowledge required. For example, Diversity and Inclusion Managers and Talent Acquisition Specialists are in high demand.

“Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is an exciting area of growth because it has fortunately moved beyond the sole domain of HR/Talent teams and is now more integrated into companies’ business imperatives,” says Kavitha Prabhakar, chief DEI officer for Deloitte US. “To have the most impact, job seekers can look for organizations that have shown they are committed to driving transparent and measurable results both within their organizations, as well as in society more broadly.”
