While the COVID-19 pandemic may not keep us from buying gifts for friends and family this year, it will likely keep thousands of us out of the brick and mortar stores we would normally roam come Black Friday. Some 64% of shoppers reported they will shop online during the holidays, according to a recent Deloitte survey of more than 4,000 U.S. consumers. Among those who plan to shop predominantly online, nearly two-thirds of them will shop from a computer to avoid crowds (65%), because they prefer the convenience of shopping at home (64%), and want to take advantage of free shipping or delivery options (60%).
