The amount of women who invest is on the rise — and we love to see it! A recent study by Fidelity found that 67% of women now invest for retirement, up from 44% in 2018. They also found that almost 70% of women go out of their way to help other women financially, because they want them to have the knowledge they never received. Financial empowerment is such a deeply powerful thing, which is why it’s always been our mission here at HerMoney! Lately, members of our community have been flooding our inbox with investing-related FAQ, and this week, we’ve got answers, with expert investor Karen Finerman. Karen is the CEO of Metropolitan Capital Advisors, she’s a panelist on CNBC’s Fast Money, the co-host of our Investing Club, Investing Fixx, host of our new podcast How She Does It!
Today, Karen and HerMoney CEO Jean Chatzky answer all your investing FAQ on dollar-cost averaging, how to get started investing in index funds, how to switch online brokerage firms, and the rules for an exit plan from a stock that just isn’t doing it for you anymore.
